Yoko Ando
Yoko Ando
Yoko Ando was born in Yokohama (Japan). Studied theater at the Bunka Gakuin College and danced with Kuniko Kisanki. Worked with Japanese choreographer Kota Yamazaki and theater directors such as Hideki Noda, Robert Lepage, Masahiko Shimada and with Antony Rizzi. Joined Ballett Frankfurt in 2001 and started with The Forsythe Company in 2005.

Born in Minneapolis, Minnesota and subsequently trained with a variety of people including Maggie Black and Erik Hawkins. Danced for three years with the North Carolina Dance Theater, worked with Ballett Frankfurt from 1988 to 2004 before joining the The Forsythe Company in 2005.

Born in Moscow, Russia. Studied at the Nikolai Ogryzskov’s Contemporary Dance School, Moscow and at the Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst, Frankfurt am Main, Germany. Member of the Forsythe Company since 2010.

Frances Chiaverini
Frances Chiaverini
Born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA, Frances studied at Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre School and The Juilliard School. After first working with Nederlands Dans Theater II, she collaborated and performed with Adam Barruch, Luca Veggetti, Martha Clarke, Shannon Gillen, The Metropolitan Opera, Bodytraffic and L.A. Dance Project. Frances has created original works for the Children’s Museum of Amman Jordan and received a prize from the National Society of Arts and Letters. She joined The Forsythe Company in 2013.

Born in Kumamoto, Japan.  Began studying acting in Kumamoto in 2000. Studied ballroom dance, ballet, street dance, kung-fu, mime and contemporary dance since2005. 
He was a company member (dancer and choreographer) of Noism from 2008 to 2014. Guest artist with The Forsythe Company since September 2014.

Born in Houston, Texas(USA). Studied at the Houston Ballet's Ben Stevenson Academy, The Alvin Ailey School,  the High School for the Performing and Visual Arts in Houston, TX and later attended SUNY Purchase College. He has worked and danced with Sidra Bell Dance NY, the Kevin Wynn Collection, Cedar Lake Contemporary Ballet, Basel Ballet/ Theater Basel, and a guest with the GöteborgsOperans Danskompani and The Forsythe Company. Guest member of The Forsythe Company since April 2014.

Brigel Gjoka
Brigel Gjoka
Born in Albania. Following dance studies at the Tirana Ballet School, he was a member of the Cannes Jeune Ballet for two years, during which he also worked with Mattia Gandini in Legestrutture. From 2006 to 2009, he was a member of the Ballet du Rhin, Strasbourg. During 2008, he created pieces for the Ballet du Rhin and Leggestrutture. In 2009, while a dancer with ballettmainz, he choreographed for the Cannes Jeune Ballet, and in 2010 he joined the Netherlands Dance Theater. Member of The Forsythe Company since 2011.

Spanish. Trained at the Estudio de danza, Ion Beitia and the Centre International de danse, Rosella Hightower. Danced with the Scottish Ballet, NAPAC Dance Company, De Rotterdamse Dansgroep, Reflex Dance Company and Scapino Ballet Rotterdam. Joined Ballett Frankfurt in 1999. Member of The Forsythe Company since 2005. Amancio is also a free lance guest teacher for some schools and companies like Ballet National de Marseille, Preljocaj Ballet, Basler Ballet, Cullberg Ballet, Skånes Dansteater, Gøtteborg Danskompani and The Forsythe Company.

Born in Mission Hills, California (USA). Trained with Eartha Robinson and Otis Sallid, attended Hollywood high school under the direction of Keny Long and was a student at the Marat Daukayev school of ballet in Los Angeles while studying with Karen Mcdonald. Danced with Ailey II, along with the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater and with The Francesca Harper Project. Member of the Forsythe Company since 2010.

David Kern was born in New Orleans. He joined San Francisco Ballet in 1981. There he danced many works by Balanchine and Michael Smuin. Joined Ballett Frankfurt in 1987. From 1994–2004 was freelance dancer and choreographer living in Paris. Member of The Forsythe Company since 2005.

Fabrice Mazliah studied dance in his hometown Geneva, at The National School of Athens and in the Rudra Béjart Atelier in Lausanne. He was part of the Nederlands Dans Theater in Holland, the Ballett Frankfurt and continued since 2005 with the Forsythe Company. Fabrice has also produced several works of his own.

Georg Reischl wurde in Salzburg geboren. Seine Ausbildung erhielt er an der Ballettschule der Staatsoper Wien. Er tanzte am Stadttheater Heidelberg, mit Scapino Ballett Rotterdam, Ballett Frankfurt und der Forsythe Company. Von 2006-2010 war er als Hauschoreograf beim Scapino Ballett Rotterdam tätig. Seit 2011 lebt er als freischaffender Choreograf und Lehrer in Berlin. Er choreographiert zum Beispiel für das MichaelDouglas Kollektiv in Köln, Ballett Mainz und das Luzerner Theater.

Antony Rizzi is performance visual dance artist from Boston. From 1985-2004 he performed and helped to create many leading roles with the Frankfurt Ballet. As an actor, performed with Jan Fabre in 8 productions and is presently touring Drugs Kept Me Alive, a solo created especially for him. He was nominated twice as Best Dancer in Germany in Ballet Internationals yearly annual. He creates his own work his company Tony Rizzi and the Bad Habits. As well Rizzi works as an artistic advisor to choreographers and directors and dancers worldwide.

Natalia Rodina studied modern dance at the Ogryzkov School of Contemporary Dance in Moscow. She continued her dance education at the Rotterdam Dance Academy where she graduated in 2005. Natalia has performed with Djazzex Productions, Korzo Productions and Andrè Gingras, and was a member of NND/Galili Dance in Groningen from 2004 - until their closure in 2008. She performed with Dansgroep Amsterdam from 2009 until 2012 and has been guesting periodically with The Forsythe Company. She joined The Forsythe Company in September 2013.

Born in Teruel, Spain. Educated at the Royal Conservatorium of Music and Dance Valencia and in Den Haag. Worked as dancer and choreographer around Europe with various companies as Royal Ballet of Flanders, Scapino Ballet Rotterdam and with The Choreographic Institut of New York. Collaborated with Antony Rizzi since 1999. Guest member of The Forsythe Company since January 2008.

Born in Portland, Oregon (USA).  Began his early dance training at the School of Oregon Ballet Theater, Columbia Dance, and the Vancouver School of Arts and Academics before continuing on at the Juilliard School.  Previously, he worked with Netherlands Dance Theater (NDT) II and NDT I, as well as created work at the Korzo Theater in The Hague.  He is a 2005 Presidential Scholar in the Arts and a 2008 Princess Grace Award recipient.  Guest artist with The Forsythe Company since September 2013.

Born in Leipzig, Germany. She studied Dance in Education at Rotterdam Dance Academy in the Netherlands. A dance scholarship led her to New York City in 2005 where she subsequently worked with Bill Young/Colleen Thomas & Company, Susan Marshall & Company as well as Kota Yamazaki’s Fluid Hug-Hug among others. She joined the Forsythe Company in November 2012.

Born in Bilbao, Spain. Started dancing with Ion Beitia in 1983, studied at Béjart's Mudra school for one year and John Neumeier's Hamburg ballet school as well as Rosella Hightower's Centre de Dance International in Cannes. Danced with the Centre Choregraphique National de Tours, under Jean Christophe Maillot, Ballett Frankfurt in 1992 and the Birmingham Royal Ballet under David Bintley from April 1997 until December 1999. Rejoined Ballett Frankfurt in 2000. Member of The Forsythe Company as of 2005.

CHRISTOPHER ROMAN
Christopher Roman began his formal training with The School of Cleveland Ballet continuing at The School of American Ballet in New York City. He was subsequently invited into the ranks of the Pacific Northwest Ballet and as a soloist and principal with Edward Villella's Miami City Ballet, Les Grands Ballets Canadiens in Montreal, The Pennsylvania Ballet, Ballett Frankfurt and The Forsythe Company performing a huge array of important choreographic works, originating over forty roles and touring every major venue worldwide. He has been a guest artist with Complexions Contemporary Ballet, Sasha Waltz and Guests in Berlin and the Gala of International Dance Stars.
Christopher was co-founder, choreographer and performer for the company 2+ with former Wooster Group video designer Philip Bussmann and has created work with 2+ and independently for The Russian Ballet Theatre, The Pennsylvania Ballet, Philadelphia Fringe Festival, Festival de Danse in Cannes, Les Grands Ballets Canadiens de Montreal, Kuenstlerhaus Mousonturm, Cadance Festival Holland, Skulpturenpark in Graz and others. William Forythe's Bessie Award winning You Made Me a Monster was created with Mr. Roman and he is the 2009 recipient of Germany's highest theater honor Der Deutsche Theaterpreis DER FAUST for best performance, dance in The Forsythe Company's I don't believe in outer space. He is  also featured in the Thierry De Mey film of Forsythe's work One Flat Thing, reproduced.
As a ballet master, choreographic assistant and administrator Christopher has staged the works of William Forsythe internationally, been a teacher of classical ballet and improvisational techniques, a research collaborator for the Ohio State University project Synchronous Objects and the Score Manager and Education Coordinator for the Motion Bank initiative in association with The Forsythe Company. He is currently the curator for the MFA European Studies at Hollins University now in affiliation with The Forsythe Company and The University of Music and Performing Arts in Frankfurt. Since 2011 Christopher has been guest and adjunct faculty and choreographer in residence for Butler University, The Juilliard School, Hollins University, Princeton University, Harvard University, The Goethe Institute worldwide, Steps NY, Peridance, NYU Tisch School of the Arts, Movement Invention Project, Springboard Dance Montreal and Dance Arts Faculty in Rome. Mr. Roman was one of the artists selected to be part of the Solo Performance Commissioning Project with Deborah Hay for her work Dynamic. He is the choreographic assistant to William Forsythe for the original work Rearray at Sadler's Wells for Sylvie Guillem and Nicolas LeRiche. As of 2013 Christopher assumed the role of Associate Artistic Director of The Forsythe Company.
